Ketu, the karaka of moksha, in the house of liberation — the most spiritually significant placement in Jyotish. It gives genuine capacity for renunciation, deep meditative practice, and life connected to foreign lands, ashrams or institutions. The classical reading is liberation itself. The practical one is that worldly attachment was never the point here.

The 12th house is what you release, and where you dissolve, governing loss, expenditure, foreign lands, isolation, liberation. Ketu (Ketu) is a shadow planet — subtracting, dissolving, revealing and signifies detachment, moksha, past karma, insight; its drive is to renounce, to see through, and to finish unfinished karma.
The 12th is a dusthana (difficult house), where planets deliver results through struggle, delay, or transformation. Interestingly, a malefic like Ketu often performs *better* in a dusthana than a benefic would — classical astrology holds that malefics in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th (the upachaya houses) and in dusthanas can destroy the difficulty rather than suffer it.
Three things modify this placement more than anything else: the sign Ketu occupies (see Ketu through the signs), the aspects it receives — Jupiter's aspect can rescue a difficult placement and Saturn's can sober an easy one — and the strength of the 12th house lord. Read this as one factor, not a verdict.
