So these pages are written differently. Each one names what the other tool does better and when you should use it instead of us — genuinely, not as a set-up. We would rather you find the right tool than the wrong one with our name on it.
We are a free, ad-supported website, not an app, and there are real gaps. There is no native mobile app. There are no human astrologers you can call on demand — we publish a directory, but the consultation happens elsewhere. Consultations here are deliberately not stored, which protects your privacy and means the AI cannot remember your last conversation. We are newer than the large Indian portals, so our catalogue is narrower. And being ad-supported means you will see ads.
If any of those matter more to you than what we do well, one of the tools above will serve you better, and we have said which on each page.
It depends on what you need, and any page that answers this with a single name is usually selling one. For a free birth chart with no signup, plain-English interpretation and a local almanac, we would point to ours. For the widest catalogue of specialised calculators, established Indian portals like AstroSage have more. For live consultation with a human astrologer, a marketplace is the right tool and we are not one.
Because Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, fixed to the visible constellations, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, fixed to the seasons. The two have drifted about 24 degrees apart, so most people find their Vedic Sun sign is one sign earlier. Neither is a mistake — they are different systems that answer different questions.
Two separate questions sit inside that one. The calculations can be accurate, and ours are deterministic: the same birth details always produce the same chart. Whether astrological interpretation predicts anything is a question astrology has debated for centuries and AI does not settle. Be sceptical of any tool claiming a percentage accuracy figure — that is not a measurable property of astrology, and one competitor currently advertises 99%.
