Learn to read a birth chart properly — starting from nothing, taught through your own chart rather than someone else’s example. Seven levels, free to read, no account required.
Almost everything written about Vedic astrology is either too shallow to be useful or written to sell a consultation. This is an attempt at the third thing: an actual course, which explains how the system works, says plainly where it is uncertain, and finishes by teaching you how to tell when someone is trying to frighten you.
Six lessons, about forty minutes of reading. By the end you will be able to generate your chart, identify your Lagna and its lord, find your Moon sign and nakshatra, read either chart format, and say what the system does and does not claim.
Begin Level 1Level 1 is complete. The rest are being written — no dates, because we would rather not promise one and miss it.
What a kundli is, why your sign differs, your Lagna, Moon sign and nakshatra, and how to read the diagram.
What each house governs, how they are classified, and why some planets do well in difficult houses.
Each graha, its significations, dignity, combustion, retrogradation and aspects.
How yogas form, the ones worth knowing, and how common most of them actually are.
A repeatable method for approaching a chart, worked through complete examples.
Vimshottari dasha in depth, antardashas, transits, Sade Sati, and the ethics of prediction.
What AI does reliably, where it fabricates, how to verify computation, and what still needs a human.
Not required to read anything. It lets us keep your place in the course and tell you when the next level opens — that is the whole of what it is for.
Create a free accountYes, and there is nothing to buy at the end of it. Every lesson is readable without an account. An account is only needed if you want your progress tracked and to be told when the next level opens.
No. Level 1 assumes you have never generated a birth chart and explains the vocabulary as it goes. If you have read Western astrology, some of it will need unlearning — the second lesson deals with that directly.
That is the intention once all seven levels exist, and it will state exactly what it is: a record that you completed this course. It will not be a professional qualification, because we are not an accrediting body and nobody in Jyotish universally is. We would rather say so plainly than issue something that implies more than it means.
We are not putting dates on them, because we would rather not miss one. Level 1 is complete and published; the rest are being written. Create a free account and we will tell you when the next opens.
6 lessons published so far. This course teaches a traditional interpretive system; it does not claim that astrology predicts events, and Lesson 6 deals with that question directly.
