Notice the weighting: the more points a koota carries, the more the tradition considered it decisive. Nadi and Bhakoot alone account for 15 of the 36 points, which is why a "Nadi dosha" or "Bhakoot dosha" can sink an otherwise decent score.

What counts as a good score

The conventional reading: below 18 is considered incompatible, 18 to 24 is acceptable, 25 to 32 is very good, and above 32 is excellent.
